Interview with Chase Coleman

Hi, my lovely people,

Coming back to you with an interview that I know you have been waiting for a while.

I had Chase here with me answering your questions and he was so happy to share some of his private moments with you. For the people who don’t know Chase, is an American actor, director, and a great musician. He is best known for portraying the character of Billy Winslow in the HBO TV series Boardwalk Empire as well as his role of the werewolf, Oliver, on the CW hit spin-off series, The Originals. Also, he plays with Micah in the band MERCY MODE.

MERCY MODE had an amazing success all over the USA and Europe. Their songs are wild and the lyrics just blow you away. I’ll leave you the link below to listen to the guys and in the meantime enjoy reading the interview.

Andreea: When and why did you start playing?
Chase: For as long as I can remember I was playing music or singing. I was in several talent shows as a kid. My parents were very supportive of that. In high school, I had a band…and we were Fantastic!!

Andreea: Which instruments do you play?
Chase: Guitar and Piano

Andreea: What was the first tune(s) you learned?
Chase: The first songs I learned to play on guitar were Drive by the Deftones and Epiphany by Staind

Andreea:  What are the five things you can’t live without?
Chase: Family, Music, Movies, Friends and Adventure

Andreea: What’s your motto or the advice you live by?
Chase: One of the things that have stuck with me has been something my dad taught me growing up. Conservation habits…He taught my sister and me that we should find all possible positive uses from a situation or thing before discarding it. It helped to teach us the value of the things we have and the opportunities that we are given.

Andreea: Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?
Chase: All of them…haha…they are all out there spending their lives doing something they love. They get to spend every day putting their passion out there for the masses and flexing their artistic muscles.

Andreea: Ten years from now you will be….
Chase: Starring in box office hits on the big screen and fronting my band, Mercy Mode, in a sold-out world tour

Andreea: Can you remember the first time you wrote a song?
Chase: I don’t necessarily remember the first time I attempted to write a song. I have written hundreds of songs that will never be heard! But the first song I wrote was called Standing in Control. That was a LONG time ago! Wow

Andreea:  Do you ever get nervous?
Chase: Oh yea! Every time I get ready to do something I love…play music, do a scene, go to an audition..etc. Being nervous means what I am about to do is important, and that is a GREAT feeling!

Andreea: What kind of things inspire you to write?
Chase: Heartbreak & Happiness…and trust me when I say that these two things result in VERY different songs!

Andreea: What’s your favorite place to eat?
Chase: Waffle House…SSSSHHH, don’t tell anyone…lol

Andreea:  Do you have any pets?
Chase: I have two cats! The loyal and wise old man Tobias and my beautiful little princess Stevie Nicks!

Andreea: What’s your bad quality?
Chase: Honestly, probably working too much, but to be clear…I don’t think that is necessarily bad! I just know that to reach my goals, the hustle has to happen every day.

Andreea: How much do you practice singing/playing instruments a week?
Chase: Every chance I get! Playing music is not a chore/job for me. I do it when I want to relax or when I have some free time because I genuinely enjoy it! I guess it is fair to say at least 5 days a week if not more!

Andreea: What’s next? I know the fans from London enjoyed the concert a lot, when is the next trip here? And when a new tour around Europe?
Chase: Thanks, hun! I enjoyed being there too! As of right now, I do not have another London trip scheduled, but I hope that changes VERY soon! I will be in Dusseldorf, Germany in May 2019 and Vincenza, Italy in June 2019! With upcoming filming projects and planning tour dates in the U.S., the plans for the UK are uncertain, but I have an amazing team that is working on getting me there! I hope to see you all again very soon….

Hope you guys enjoyed the interview and stay tuned for MORE!

Love,

A
