Interview with Jack Hawitt

Hello, my beautiful people,

Hope you are enjoying this amazing weather in London like I do. These following weeks I have some amazing interviews coming up, so stay tuned. Today, I talked with Jack Hawitt, a London-based Artist, Songwriter, and Producer, who you probably know from Youtube(doing some amazing covers), Love Island 2019, The X-Factor 2018, and supporting Kelli-Leigh (More Than Friends) at the O2 Academy2.

You can find Jack’s music on his website and Spotify, and for gigs or hiring, you have the contact information there as well. Just drop him a message!

Let’s see what Jack had to say!

Andreea: When and why did you start playing?
Jack: My Mum had a keyboard which I used to play sometimes but I never had lessons I just used to mess around making up little tunes.
Andreea: Which instruments do you play?
Jack: Piano mainly. I can work my way around a guitar but the piano is my one!
Andreea: What was the first tune(s) you learned?
Jack: My heart Will Go On/Piano theme from Titanic
Andreea: What are the five things you can’t live without?
Jack: Phone, Piano, Mac, Olives, and Travelling
Andreea: What’s your motto or the advice you live by?
Jack: Be kind and be a nice person
Andreea: Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?
Jack: I have always loved Lana Del Rey for her music style, lyrics and I also love Matt Corby, his songwriting and voice are out of this world.
Andreea: Ten years from now you will be….
Jack: Writing more music on a tropical island somewhere looking out at the ocean
Andreea: Can you remember your first tune?
Jack: I can, it was called Shooting Star and it’s floating around on Youtube somewhere from when I was in a duo called Parnell Page.
Andreea: Do you ever get nervous?
Jack: Yes, very! Before a show!
Andreea: What kind of things inspire you to write?
Jack: Everything around me. People and experiences.
Andreea: What’s your favorite place to eat?
Jack: Delicatessen – a tapas restaurant in Oslo.
Andreea: Do you have any pets?
Jack: No but I have 16 plants. Lol
Andreea: What’s your bad quality?
Jack: Working too much and not giving myself time to unwind.
Andreea: How much you sing?
Jack: I sing a lot, I work on a cruise ship as a singer and do wedding gigs as well as writing and recording sessions so it’s pretty much all the time!
Andreea: What’s next?
Jack: I have more songs I want to release in 2019 and I’m also playing a big show in my home town on 25th October which I’m really looking forward to.

Hope you enjoyed the interview as much as I did, and let’s wish Jack good luck with his show in October! You got it!
